Well, actually, no, I wouldn’t. But if I’m to pay extra anything, I want the money to go to those who need it most. If the Pentagon needs a gazillion dollars for the Lockheed Whizbang, they can hold a bake sale. ---

But the Lockheed Whizbang is _more important_ than poor people. You can _always_ get more poor people when the needy sick ones die, but those Whizbangs, they’re one of a kind usually. ---

Two trivial stupids in one. An “English Only” conference and a sign showing that, well, somebody needed an English-language spell-checker. Other than that, “Building The New Majority” Not with those spelling or reading comprehension skillz, you won’t. Apparently no one noticed. Or maybe someone noticed, but thought, “Hell, we spent too much money on that sign and can’t get another one quick enough. Maybe no one else will notice!” ---

Does this count as an idea? [South Carolina Governor takes a hike.](http://www.businessinsider.com/the-missing-anti-stimulus-governor-is-hiking-2009-6) He’s gone 4 days before he thinks to tell anybody he was planning to leave. He didn’t even tell his wife. Previous stories indicated he was a little miffed at being court ordered to accept stimulus money and having all of his signed bills vetoed. Could this be a part of the GOP’s new strategy of Taking Their Ball and Going Home? ---
