The fun part is that if a faculty member then changes their political affiliation the university will have to do a complete reshuffle and potential hire. And the whole current faculty could change their political affiliation to “Republican”, forcing the university to hire more Democrats. And all new candidates could change their political affiliation in order to improve their chances of getting hired. Yeah, this is an _excellent_ idea that will \*totally \*work. ---

I think it’s a great idea, if it means that educated, liberal professors have a reason to join the Republican Party. It’s high time the progressives took that party back from the fat cats and the stupid. ---

And what’s to stop you from claiming to be a Libertarian? Who’s going to bother to check… and besides, even if they spent thousands of hours investigating every faculty member and found out you voted for Obama or spotted a New York Times on your stoop, does that really disprove your claim? ---
