So the reporters contacted Antifas in Central PA to get their input, and the said they weren’t gonna be there. Who did they call?

“Hello, Antifas Central Committee for Pennsylvania, how may I direct your call?”

I started our own little Pit thread on this. Likely they contacted a right wing troll pretending to be Antifas.

Because they’ve made up a meaning for it that defines it as “violent revolutionary against the Glorious Leader Trump”.

That’s the one.

My personal favorite quote from that story:

That makes it all okay, I guess.

Thanks to Republican Gov. Rick “Weazel Nutz” Scott, any resident of Florida [may now challenge](http://www.sfchronicle.com/nation/article/Florida-law-allows-residents-to-challenge-school-11262506.php) what children learn in public schools.

**Any** parent or county resident can file a complaint, regardless of whether they have a student in the school system. If a “hearing officer” deems the challenge justified, **he or she can require schools to remove the material in question**.

And yes, this includes the removal of library books.

Ugh, that effin’ guy.

I once had to shake Rick Scott’s hand. It was during a work event, and one of our managers happened to know him. So he turned up for a meet and greet, and it happened too fast for me to duck into the bathroom. Next thing I knew I was in a group saying hello to him. I was polite, I smiled, and for the next hour fought an urge to disinfect my hand with a waffle iron.

If I lived there, I’d be doing a lot of challenging of right wing instructional aids.

Every year, NPR tweets out the Declaration of Independence, line by line. This year, Trump fans decided that NPR was calling for a revolution against the Orange Chimp and claimed they were doing it because Trump’s budget cuts funding for NPR.

Yeah **Rick Kitchen**. NPR tweets out Declaration of Independence, [Trump supporters mistake it as call to overthrow president](http://www.metro.us/news/politics/npr-tweets-declaration-independence). :smack:

As George Carlin [said](http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/43852-think-of-how-stupid-the-average-person-is-and-realize), “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

Actually, they’ve read the Declaration on the air for 29 straight years. If I’m not mistaken, this was the first year on Twitter.

But holy cow.

I have an abundant supply of snark vocabulary and scathing vitriol to apply as needed. In this case, wholly inadequate, be like hunting rhino with a Nerf bat. Where curses fail, perhaps a blessing…

If that’s true—and a search of the NPR Twitter account suggests that it is—then I can sort of see why some Trump supporters might interpret it as a dig at the President.

After all, Twitter has been a “thing” for quite a while now. NPR began tweeting in 2007, and has accumulated over 122,000 tweets over the last ten years. That’s an average of over 30 posts per day. And yet, before this year, it has never seen fit to tweet the full Declaration.

It seems like a bit more than a coincidence that they chose to do this for the first time now that we have a President who is both a petulant child AND obsessed with Twitter. I reckon, even if only subconsciously, there was some Trump-trolling going on here.

Doesn’t change the stupidity of the Trump supporters who took the bait, of course.

The Republican National Committee official Twitter account called for inputs from the Clintons, Joe Manchin, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren for help with coming up with a healthcare plan, and, predictably and appropriately, they were roundly roasted.
