He’s far more outraged at Kaepernick than at the white supremacist who murdered Heather Heyer.

I hope some pundit (or politician) with a wider audience than our board clues on to that as well; it’s a fantastic talking point.

I like it tho. Trump disrespected a Golden State Warrior and the team opted to stick together and back their teammate. As a proud Union member, I approve of this action.

Now that he’s received his presidential pardon, America’s Sheriff and Trump worshipper Joe Arpaio is apparently back to politics. He’s coming to California this week to try and get his political career back on track, and is going to be speaking at a Republican fund-raising dinner in Fresno at the end of the week. But Joe’s too hot even for some of California’s notoriously conservative Central Valley GOPers:

> [@](#):
>
> A raft of prominent Central Valley Republicans, including Fresno’s mayor, have bowed out of the annual event, some citing scheduling conflicts and others saying outright that they’re steering clear of the fundraiser because Arpaio will be speaking.

Anyway, what’s the bad idea, i hear you ask?

> [@](#):
>
> In an interview on Tuesday afternoon, Arpaio, who lost re-election in November after 24 years in office, said the Fresno event was an example of his renewed “mission” to fight for conservative ideas around the country. That includes, he said, his continuing (and widely debunked) effort to prove that former President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is fake.
>
> \<snip\>
>
> “It has to go down as the biggest cover-up in the history of the United States,” he said of Obama’s birth certificate. “Nobody wants to touch it.”

LOL.

Let us know how that goes for you, Joe.

Yeah, that’s one of the more mind-blowing things about all this. The Republicans have been complaining and plotting to remove Obamacare for seven years - but apparently never bothered to come up with _any_ sort of plan to replace, or even how they’d react if they got the opportunity.

It would be more accurate to say that they never bothered to come up with a plan to successfully smoke-screen their actual plan (“Are there no emergency rooms? And the free clinics: are they still in operation?”).

I’m reminded of my old cat. When she finally caught a cicada and had no idea what she was going to do with it, she just looked at me with pleading eyes and a giant-ass bug in her mouth.

Follow the cat’s example and just let it go, Lindsey.
