Of course, I agree with Rep. Bachmann on this. I’d love a return to a 70% maximum tax rate for the ultra-rich. The stupidity here is not in her desire to roll back the clock to 80s tax levels, but for thinking that she’s proposing lower tax rates when in fact _she’s proposing a massive tax increase_ (as the TPM headline makes clear.) ---

Well, let us be fair. if we roll back environmental regulations, just to take one example, it would almost certainly create jobs. I mean, how many firefighters and related personnel do you suppose it took to put out the Cuyahoga river? ---

Have you noticed that as this thread goes on, we tend to ignore about fifty percent of the really stupid simply because it is overwhelmed by the incredibly stupid? ---
