Perhaps his own values were not obvious to his staff, or perhaps his values were extremely obvious to his staff. On the other hand, this is Scott Brown we’re talking about. Once you get beyond handsome in a politiciany sorta way and that he drives a pickup truck, his actual positive qualities are rather hard to pin down exactly. His best strategy is to hope to be confused with that “generic Republican” guy who always polls better than real Republicans. He’s basically going for being an empty suit that people can fill with their idea of what they want a Republican to be. But it’s hard to put that into a values statement. ---

Ricky is among those who are desperately trying to drag the social milieu back to the time when those traditional values were unquestioned. The fact that anyone is ALLOWED to make fun of him for being a neanderthal throwback still shocks him. ---
