Does anybody actually know, any more?

According to Wiki, you got your Tea Party Nation, which is listed as the “for profit” version. You may have heard of some of their ventures collapsing, and they were briefly famous for paying the Malign Sarah a buttload of buck to speak.

> [@](#):
>
> …A subsequent convention was booked for the following July, postponed until October, and ultimately cancelled. On July 18, 2011 the Venetian Casino Resort filed suit for unpaid bills allegedly totaling $642,144…

_Wiki_

Then you got your Tea Party Express, the apparently slickest of the bunch, what with the tour buses and all. Over at their website, they appear to be pretty quiet. No events are planned, its “blog” site has no entries later than Sept. 29. Its bones bleach in the sun…

(IIRC, these are they guys who announced the Tea Party’s unflinchlng solidarity with Comcast/Verizon in the recent “net neutrality” hubbub. You think nobody loves the cable company? The Tea Party do!..)

Tea Party Patriots appears to be the most viable operation, or at least aware of its surroundings, its website offers the astonishing news that they are not connected to Occupy Wall Street. The TP Patriots advertise themselves as the “official” Tea Party. They are the only ones who appear to have much of a pulse…

To be fair to Republicans, most are slamming the statement that wives should be “[a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom](http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/10/goper_apologizes_for_saying_a_woman_should_be_a_wh.php?ref=fpc)”, but Phil Mitsch is a Republican, and boy was that a stupid idea.

Ah, the old Whore or Madonna dichotomy. How hard it is to stray from archetypes. Especially when you’re a bottom-feeding troglodyte. Don’t be too hard on the gnarly troll, guys. He lives under bridges because that’s all he knows. Do consider the socio-economic factors involved. And the Billy Goat Gruff risks.

I almost feel sorry for the poor schmuck. FTR, the stupid idea was to own a Twitter account while at the same time seeking elective office.

Also: _relationship advice_? Did anyone ask him for for some? I mean, fair dos if they did, but _find a confidential way to dispense it!_ Ya poor schmuck.

Which every woman should be… in the bedroom, and by extension I would guess in cheap hotel rooms as well.

From that link
The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.
Not improve the economy. Not improve security. Not create jobs. Just ruin Obama’s Presidency.

And be aware that economic trends are established _by “the margins.”_ Even if 95% of Republicans are good-spirited, 5% are enough to ensure a double-dip recession.

Herman Cain, the man that constantly talks about the importance of the constitution, once again shows his ignorance of the document, he claims to be such an expert on. He has promised to sign a constitutional amendment into law should he be elected president. Ben Smith was quick to point out presidents don’t sign amendments.

Interestingly, thats only true as a matter of Supreme Court precedent. The text of the Constitution is ambiguous. Article One states, “\*every \* . . . vote, to which the concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the same shall take effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives.” That could easily be read to cover the vote in Congress necessary to propose an amendment.

Let’s see how [Paul Ryan paid for college](http://www.wpri.org/WIInterest/Vol19No2/Schneider19.2.html):

> [@](#):
>
> One day as a 16 year old, Ryan came upon the lifeless body of his father. Paul Ryan, Sr. had died of a heart attack at age 55, leaving the Janesville Craig High School 10th grader, his three older brothers and sisters and his mother alone. It was Paul who told the family of his father’s death.
>
> With his father’s passing, **young Paul collected Social Security benefits until age 18, which he put away for college**.

So, Pell grants are unsustainable, but Social Security survivor’s benefits are the key to higher education.
