John Boehner has joined the board of Acreage Holdings, a company that cultivates, processes and dispenses cannabis in 11 U.S. states. This after his years of blocking pro-pot legislation. Nothing stupid about finally seeing the light and joining in on the right side. Contemptible for rushing in to profit off what you were once happy to ruin lives over, though, sure. ---

I disagree. Boehner is a despicable asshole and he has never had any principals beyond enriching himself. In my mind hiring Boehner means that this soon to be formed company is an attempt to rip somebody off, and thatā€™s going to be marijuana consumers. The Republican party embraced Trump as a win at any cost and fuck the country strategy. Hiring Boehner is the same crap. I strongly believe that when you lie down with pigs, you get dirty. That is a strategy that has led to the current clusterfuck that is America. Principles dammit! ---

My poorly expressed point was that hiring Boehner is a step in the wrong direction for marijuana advocacy. It reminds me of evangelical Christians voting for Trump because of abortion. Your core principals have to have priority over single issues. Hiring a POS says something about your principals. ---

I agree with some of the above. When I saw that Boehner said that he had a change of heart on marijuana, I figured that ā€œchange of heartā€ must equal dollars. ---
