[here is some tasty R stupid](https://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/north-carolina-gop-candidate-preached-extensively-wives-submitting-husbands)

_Democrats were already targeting North Carolina’s 9th District before incumbent Rep. Robert Pittenger lost his Republican primary (to) … Mark Harris on multiple occasions — as a preacher and political candidate — has said that women should submit fully to their husbands …_

Ok, nothing shocking there,

_Harris said in a Friday interview with Roll Call that a wife submitting to her husband does not mean that they are not equal._

Sure, they’re equal! We just don’t _treat_ them like they’re equal!

43% of Republicans think Trump should have the power to shut down media outlets.

That’s relatively outrageous. I’m sure that translates as they think \*Trump \*should be able to do it. Because if it’s _the President_ (whomever it is) should be able to do it, ask them how they would’ve liked Obama shutting down Fox “News.” I’m sure their answer would be, “But CNN is fake news!” and call me a snowflake or something, but the point still stands.

To my understanding, this is pretty much mainstream evangelical thought. That submitting to one’s husband doesn’t make the marriage unequal, because both the wife and the husband have their roles. It’s phenomenally stupid, don’t get me wrong, but this shouldn’t come as some uniquely bizarre insight.

Mainstream evangelical thought is chock full of bizarre insights. It is only by their ubiquity that any one of the doesn’t stand out.

That’s… what ? WHY ?! Is it for JOBS! again, so y’all can spend 20 years gutting those buildings somewhere down the line ? I mean, that’s forward thinking all right… but you know it’s illegals going to do that job, right ? 🙂

Hey, it’s not a dangerous substance unless it’s in your body. Sort of like cyanide.

I’m beginning to think that the reason for the camaraderie many of the Republicans in goverment show for the Russians is the misconception on part of the first group that Alexander Zinoviev’s paradoxical books are not satire but manuals.

[It’s because Trump is on Russia’s side.](https://www.ewg.org/release/russian-asbestos-giant-praises-trump-administration-actions-keep-deadly-carcinogen-legal) You thought it would be something different?

The lede: "One of the world’s biggest producers of asbestos, a Russian company with ties to Vladimir Putin, is praising President Trump for allowing asbestos to remain legal in the U.S. The company’s applause for Trump comes as Russia is poised to become the leading importer to the U.S. of asbestos, which causes diseases that kill an estimated 15,000 Americans a year.
