It’s their responde to a Nigerian train being added to the show. It’s supposed to be “satirical”, although satirical of what I couldn’t tell you. I think the NRA guys think satire means “pretending something you really believe is ha ha just a joke wouldn’t you know ha ha”. Other sources say it’s supposed to be a criticism of diversity casting, in which case the point would be “hey, if you’re having token blacks then you might as well have token white supremacists” because… something ? Ultimately, of course, it’s just yet another way to court the Nazi vote. Because apparently open Nazis are the new religious right. ---

Thomas wasn’t “racist” for not having a non-European-voiced character; it was merely not very diverse. Adding a Nigerian train widens the audience without in anyway detracting from the show , particularly as the UK audience does contain a lot of children from African and Afro-Caribbean families. I mean it’s still an idiotic show and Thomas is a jerk, but kids seem to like it. ---
