Well, actually no. Cruz and our water boy from Florida (Rubio) don’t have actual thoughts. They are told what "ressssoooonnnnnaaaattttteeeessssss by their handlers. It it’s a hit with the Trumpian base, go with talking points.

Yes, why should Ted Cruz be held accountable for something he said as a whipper-snapper, barely 24 years out of Princeton? It isn’t fair to reach so far back into the past. Who among us wasn’t saying stupid things, attempting to rape women, or committing frauds and felonies when we were children?

Yeah, but you would be laughing with her, and at her child, who will be the butt of many jokes and laughing throughout his life for her moment of levity.

He’s such a fucking asshole.

Is Feinstein or any of her staff licensed to practice law in DC? If not, how could the DC Bar investigate them?

ETA: I checked. Feinstein isn’t a lawyer at all. What does Cotton think the DC Bar can do to her?

The article states that Cotton will ask the D.C Bar to investigate the law firm that apparently was suggested to Ford by Feinstein’s people, not Feinstein herself:

> [@Face the Nation](#):
>
> WATCH: “Those lawyers are going to face a D.C. bar investigation into their misconduct. Dianne Feinstein and her staff is going to face an investigation into their misconduct,” @SenTomCotton tells @FaceTheNation

If I’m parsing the above correctly, some other unnamed body will be asked or ordered to investigate Feinstein.

It’s clearly a ludicrous misuse of government resources. But as Cotton knows, it’s a base-pleaser–because the Republican base _adore_s the concept of using government power to punish political opponents. It thrills their authoritarianism-craving, Swiss-cheesed brains.
