The woman she was talking to was ranting about how it was the parents’ fault the girl died, not the Border Patrol’s. The Border Patrol didn’t drag the child 2,000 miles across the desert. I just shook my head and thought, well, I guess if you’re inconsiderate enough to have a speaker phone conversation in the store, you’re probably gonna have friends who are just as fucking stupid as you are. ---
