Remember that day you were in that one Burger King arguing with the counter person about where the beef was? That was when it happened. You were so caught up in the argument that you failed to notice it. And, that one Burger King is in a location where you never would have seen any of the bright flashes.

We got most of it cleaned up before you got home. All you ever saw was what looked like major road construction.

Must be Fake News from the Democrats. Everybody knows that preserving the freedoms of mankind is the highest priority of “conservatives.”

Oh wait. Freedoms of mankind. Them womankind should just do as though they’re told and stop whining when they get themselves raped. _And what good was the Nineteenth Amendment if he womenfolk don’t vote the way they’re told to?_

Some light relief: GOP Senator Marsha Blackburn reminds us that Jesus “[warned us about the lawyers](https://www.inquisitr.com/5737288/republican-senator-william-shakespeare/)”. Except that it wasn’t Jesus, it was Shakespeare, and the quote was about how lawyers obstruct autocratic rulers attempting to undermine the rule of law and seize more power.

But apart from being wrong in every respect and undermining the point she was trying to make, she totally nailed it.

Education is so overrated.

(She really thought Jesus said that?? What an ignoramus.)

I can’t stand Blackburn, and her statement is wildly misleading, but people who assume she is mis-quoting Shakespeare are exposing their own Biblical illiteracy.

In Luke chapter 11, Jesus really does condemn “lawyers”:
“Woe also to you **lawyers**! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not lift a finger to ease them. Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors killed. So you are witnesses and approve of the deeds of your ancestors; for they killed them, and you build their tombs. Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ so that this generation may be charged with the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be charged against this generation. Woe to you **lawyers**! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.” (Luke 11:46-52, NSRV) The New International Version uses"experts in the law" for “lawyers.”

Of course, their real crime was hypocrisy ignoring the burdens of their constituents; something Senator Blackburn would do well to note.

**E.P.A. to Limit Science Used to Write Public Health Rules**

>
> A new agency rule would restrict the science that can be used in drafting health regulations by requiring researchers to turn over confidential health data.

> [@](#):
>
> WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is preparing to significantly limit the scientific and medical research that the government can use to determine public health regulations, overriding protests from scientists and physicians who say the new rule would undermine the scientific underpinnings of government policymaking.
>
> A new draft ofthe Environmental Protection Agency proposal, titled Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science, would require that scientists disclose all of their raw data, **including confidential medical records,** before the agency could consider an academic study’s conclusions. E.P.A. officials called the plan a step toward transparency and said the disclosure of raw data would allow conclusions to be verified independently.
>
> “We are committed to the highest quality science,” Andrew Wheeler, the E.P.A. administrator, told a congressional committee in September. “Good science is science that can be replicated and independently validated, science that can hold up to scrutiny. That is why we’re moving forward to ensure that the science supporting agency decisions is transparent and **available for evaluation by the public and stakeholders.”**
>
> The measure would make it more difficult to enact new clean air and water rules because many studies detailing the links between pollution and disease rely on personal health information gathered under confidentiality agreements. And, unlike a version of the proposal that surfaced in early 2018, this one could apply retroactively to public health regulations already in place.

Can’t trust scientists. After all, they’ve been to college, and nothing good comes from those liberal dung heaps.

And by all means, let’s let the public evaluate the scientists’ work. That’s the ticket.

Egads! Stakeholders…meaning anyone who doesn’t like what the FACTS of the science are telling them. Lemme guess, stakeholders will be the ones with the money to make a big enough stink.
