Aw c’mon, everybody making comments like this. Y’all know dang darn tootin’ well the answer to that. If somebody is subpoenaed and blows it off, or doesn’t give the Committee the answers that the majority wants to hear, they hold the witness in contempt and refer the matter to the Justice Department for further action. The DoJ can review the same, and decide to prosecute or not. You know where that goes. Under the current DoJ, Republicans who blow off Dem subpoenas or don’t testify right will not be prosecuted. Dems or other officials subpoenaed by Repubs who don’t show or don’t testify right will be held in contempt, referred to DoJ, and very possibly prosecuted by The Most Honorable Sainted Billy-Barr-Boy and his crew of Lesser Supporting Angels. ---

Yesterday, Matt Gaetz got into a screaming match with Congressman Cedric Richmond (in a committee meeting, where Gaetz’s comments were out of order) about whether Republicans care about black sons. Today, Gaetz trotted out some grown man claiming that he is his adopted Cuban son, whom he has never before mentioned in his life, who is “my heart”. ---
