Mittens from a 2/7/2012 speech after getting shellacked in the non-delegate beauty contests:
"Three years ago, Barack Obama came to Colorado to accept his Party’s nomination. He rented out a huge stadium. He hauled in some Styrofoam Greek columns and two giant screens to set the mood. On that big stage in Denver, he made some even bigger promises. "
Two days later, Mittens gives speech at CPAC, on a stage with fake Grecian columns and two giant TV screens…oh yes and Teleprompters for good measure.

Wouldn’t cycles in synch be the cause of irregular supplies? Or are the battalions rotating - one week at the front, then three weeks behind the lines?

Obviously. Bootcamp involves slumber parties and pillow fights and chocolate-eating and bitching about boys until an entire barracks has their cycles in sync. The population is seeded by strong, confident women on the Pill, which establishes what week we want a barracks to be on, and all the other women fall into line (alternatively, women can choose to go on the Pill, but it’s not mandatory).
That way a steady supply of used tampons are available at the front, and the rest of the Battalion is free for other duties.
this is a rather silly turn for this thread to take, isn’t it?

Well, if we are to please the GOP we will have to do better than that. No cross-dressing or swishy behavior. How about a batallion of closeted GOPers paired with terse, sexless evangelical females? The men would not go out of their way to save each other out of fear of blowing their cover, and the women would peevishly tuck their hair behind an ear if one of the men looked at them even to avoid a friendly fire incident. For feigned religious reasons the men could compete with each other in shunning the non-existent advances of the women. The utter chastity of the unit could be celebrated for its outstanding virtue in high schools everywhere without any mention of the mechanics.

I don’t get the Log Cabin Republicans. Being a Gay (or non-Christian, for that matter) Republican is, in my eyes, akin to being a Semitic Nazi – what the fuck are you thinking?! I don’t care how well the party does in other regards, main planks in its platform include “treating you like you’re less than human”!

They are like abused spouses. The party mistreats them, but they think they can change the party. It’s not the party’s fault, it can’t help it it.

There is a 2004 documentary called _Gay Republicans_ (available from Netflix) that follows four gay Republicans, two of whom are in TREMENDOUS denial about their place in the party. It’s kinda fascinating, if you can stomach that kind of thing.
