So…Mr. Closeted Conservative deliberately did something that would call attention to his presence at a gay bar? Admittedly, it’s weird–the report says he was driving a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, which means it was an automatic, so it’s not that he put it in neutral when he stopped and screwed up when he shifted. Maybe he put it in park while he was stopped at the sign for some reason?

Not satisfied with fighting against mandates for contraception coverage, Santorum is speaking out against government coverage of prenatal testing, like amniocentesis, because prenatal testing leads to more abortions, when people discover that they’re carrying a fetus with a serious developmental problem. People should just suck it up and give birth to that child who’s gonna die within minutes after birth, or cost every penny they had saved up for their other kid’s college education, or break up the marriage when the parents can’t handle the stress of caring for it. Because that what God wants. And the U.S. government should deter efforts to interfere with God’s plans. That’s all part of the problem with Obama’s agenda; it’s based on [“some phony theology. Not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology.”](http://news.yahoo.com/rick-santorum-questions-obamas-christian-values-173855929.html)
God forbid the U.S. has a president who wouldn’t pass some kind of, oh, you know, [_religious test_](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Six_of_the_United_States_Constitution) or something.

People are perfectly free to apply any test they want to their choice of candidate (religion, hair color, symmetry of facial features (the last one is actually quite popular, Nixon notwithstanding)). The government, of course, can’t say that only adherents of the invisible pink unicorn (PBUH) are eligible for office.
