Just a minor brain fart. But, I don’t think that the way Mitt Romney flip flops on issues is so much a matter of political posturing as much as the quantum state that we’re in at any given time. So, in one universe, Romney is for mandated health care while in an alternate universe, he’s against it.
Hence, Romney is Schrodinger’s Candidate.

Tom Corbett, in defending a Republican bill mandating ultrsounds here in Pennsylvania, suggested it’s okay, because all the women really need to do is close their eyes.
I’m seeing a new tourism campaign. “Lie back, close your eyes, and think of Pennsylvania!”

Two things:
1 - Paul Coble’s a dick.
2 - What the hell are you all doing over there? First, you all elect that POS school board, then you stick Paul fucking Coble in the chairman’s seat for the County Commission? Jesus Christ on a pogo stick! I swear, I leave Raleigh for one decade, and look what you people did with it. This is why we can’t have nice things.

Ooh, nice one, TN Republicans!
In our county, what happened was that the County Sustainability Taskforce, a committee that was set up by the Board of Commissioners and led by a Republican, presented the report they had on what steps the county could take in order to cut energy costs, maintain water supplies, and dispose of waste in a environmentally sustainable way. They made the presentation and that’s when Coble took his stand. He, along with the other four Republicans on the board, voted against adopting any of the taskforce’s recommendations, using the whole Agenda 21 thing as their argument against. Then they voted to set up another committee (smaller government, anyone?) called the Property Rights Taskforce, to ensure that the one world government hasn’t infiltrated the Sustainability taskforce with their “collectivist” ideas. There was talk of black helicopters and “men in blue helmets” (to his credit, Coble said he doesn’t believe the UN is literally sending troops to our county). It was a truly astonishing amount of crazy.

Dude, it wasn’t me. I blame it on Art Pope. The POS School Board is gone, but the trick is on the rest of you suckers in NC! John Tedesco, the little whiny ferret himself, is running for State Superintendent of Schools! I can’t explain King Paul. That man is vile.

There are signs of hope. Our NC Rep had a town hall meeting last night. There were actually people fighting mad at a Republican. In Union County!
