Is that because Dems are often left cleaning up the mess Republicans leave behind? Is it the Dems job because Republicans are afraid to do so themselves? I’m sure Dems appreciate Mr. Kristol’s heartfelt advice. ---

He wants to reinforce the gun nut paranoia that Obama has been looking for an excuse to confiscate all their weapons. But I got to admit, it’s not a bad scheme. Attack him for not advancing ‘sensible’ gun control legislation, and if he does, then attack him for proposing confiscatory Big Brother legislation. ---

Apparently, [Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren made a pact to keep out outside money in their race](http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/outside-money-ban-massachusetts-senate-race-working-price-101237240.html). And shockingly, its lead to a higher standard of political maneuvering and even the comments section, the YAHOO comments section, is pretty much civil! But I’m not pitting that. Its a great thing. I’m pitting at this: “But since then, Warren has established herself as perhaps the most prolific Senate fundraiser in the country and became mired in controversy over her claimed Native American ancestry. Consultants in the state say these factors add up to potential regrets from Brown backers and frustration from super PACs and other third-party groups.” Mostly its been conservatives eager to use Warren’s claims of Native American heritage against her. They want to drag up shit that’s pointless and use their money to do their dirty work. There’s this bit from a conservative talk show host (of course): "Howie Carr, who hosts a conservative talk show popular in New England and writes a column for the Boston Herald, says he wishes Brown hadn’t embraced the pact. “I think it would have been better if Scott hadn’t agreed to it, the way things worked out with the Indian stuff,” Carr said. “It would have been nice to have some people come in and bang her over the head with the falseness of her claims to be an Indian.” The “Indian stuff”, says Carr. Oh fuck off you shit. I can’t believe that was even an issue, but I guess it conforms with the conservative strategy of making Dems look as foreign as possible. This is just another example of the GOP’s race baiting hook they’re trying to hang on Dems and Obama, as if Americans can’t just worry about a black guy in office but, Yikes!, there might be some hidden Indians too! I don’t give a damn for a second that Warren’s claiming 1/32 Cherokee heritage. And I wouldn’t care of shithead Mitch McConnell said he was part black. His heritage has no impact on him being a chinless turtle douchebag right now. And I’m surprised about Brown. He really does seem like one of the good Republicans. He’s not as liberal as I would like, and he’s no Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins, but I don’t mind him too much. It would be nice if he would be more supportive of Democratic legislation though but then I suppose he’d be a Democrat. I hope this pact of theirs lasts until the election ---
