Romney aide Rick Gorka told reporters in Poland to “kiss my ass” and “shove it” when pressed on Romney’s avoidance of the press. To be fair, he did later apologize, according to the article. ---

Big deal. This thread is about stupid Republicans, not just stupid Romney. Romney’s aide, one assumes, is a Republican. Certainly he is very, very stupid. Telling the press to “kiss my ass” is never smart. Losing your cool even for ten seconds can be the difference between losing and winning. Just ask Howard Dean. (Who, incidentally, didn’t actually even lose his cool–just an out of context five second snippet from a rally made it seem like he did.) Edit: **Sinaptics** is correct: there’s more to the stupid than just telling the international press off. ---
