The kind of thing that is so stupid that it couldn’t _possibly_ be a lie – nobody is _that_ brazen, right? I mean, claiming that their opponent is the incumbent in a bid for re-election in the hopes that people start to think that the _opponent_ fucked everything up, rather than they? That would take one _second_ of fact-checking to disprove, and make them out to be really, really dumb. So obviously, there’s _no way_ they could possibly be lying about that. ---
