Hell, I can even interpret his statement to suggest that he wouldn’t be a warmonger if elected (that is, he doesn’t consider military operations to be high on his priority list), which is actually comforting in a way. But man, if you ever wanted an illustration of _why_ politicians hit those laundry lists and make highly prepared, vague statements… ---

It’s time to include one of our own in this thread. Based especially on [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=664647), where attempts to explain accounting basics get nowhere. He even goes so far as to accuse Bill Clinton of criminal activity that apparently no one ever noticed (i.e. “cooking the books.”) moon[del]bat[/del]925 er shot is really, really, fucking stupid. You could put a banana in front of him and try to explain it’s a fruit and get nowhere. (“It’s not a fruit! Fruit are round!”) He’s in the Elections forum a lot. Feel free to join me in mocking him further. But here, not there. ---

I don’t wanna sound like The Thread Police or nothing but I think **moonbat** should get his own thread. He isn’t a Republican official. Of course, we don’t know that he isn’t one. I think they refer to the same thing. No, not really; people use “troops” to refer to the individual men and women, and “military” most often to refer to the organization. Even as a person who never served, I am just as pissed off about that. ---

The annoying thing about Iran is that its government is god based. Keep god on the coins, keep god in the pledge, god god god, always invoking god to justify whatever their cause is, and invoking god to demonize anyone who does not agree with the way they think. It’s a pity they can’t truly separate church and state. ---
