Yeah, can’t really say that I agree with the SI finding, but its not like it was Romney’s gaffe, someone else said it and since Nicklaus endorsed him (I believe) he’s talking it up. Not a Stupid Republican Idea, but rather a Stupid Sports Magazine Idea. ---

I’m relieved to know that Romney, if elected, will keep up the regular Sports Illustrated briefings. ---

Yup – I’m sure Babe Ruth, big belly and all, was more of an athlete than Jack. As was just about anyone who ever made it into the big leagues of baseball, basketball, football, or hockey. ---

I can’t believe I’m defending Todd Akin, but what he said was that she was “more ladylike” in the 2006 debate, and that this was a sign that she feel threatened. Still a stupid thing to say, but not quite as stupid. ---

I don’t know that it’s any less stupid; I think it’s worse. What the hell is a “ladylike” campaign supposed to look like, and why should it somehow be something McCaskill should aspire to? If being aggressive in a debate isn’t ladylike, would he be OK with a male opponent saying the same things? If being “ladylike” and less aggressive ultimately means McCaskill loses, how is that a good idea from her point of view? His statement reads like he’s worried about getting beat up on the playground by a girl, and he’s trying to salvage some manly bravado by pointing out that _real_ girls shouldn’t play rough. Akin remains an unrepentant sexist douchebag, film at 11. ---

NBC News has learned that two other Florida counties, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa, have also reported possible fraudulent registration forms submitted by the firm, including apparent dead people being registered as new voters. Prosecutors in two counties are investigating possible voter fraud by the GOP consulting firm, officials said.” ---
