Why let Romney flog him on unemployment for three years? Why not cook the books in 2009? What is different now? Welch is not an idiot, so it must be naked partisan self-interest. ---

(I’m damned sure I’m not the only person this has occurred to, but I’m constantly bemused by the contention that Obama is a wussy, spineless appeaser who is nevertheless singlehandedly dragging the unwilling country to a Communist-Socialist-Atheist-Muslim Armageddon.
