I can’t fucking believe it. Boehner is putting Ryan [in charge](http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/19/us/politics/paul-ryan-emerges-as-power-broker-in-fiscal-talks.html?hp) of the budget process to reach consensus with the White House. Way to fuck things up, you asshole. It had a prayer of succeeding, and now you put this fucking ideologue in the mix? Cliff diving anybody? ---

In my opinion, (he said putting on his pundit hat), the GOP is going to continue to play to the lowest common denominator in politics until they feel it is a losing proposition. That means ‘doubling down’ on several of their proposals. There is some of the idea of sunk costs involved in this as well as sour grapes. Interesting times, my colleagues. Interesting times. ---
