This looks like it might be Bray’s blog, which several have referred to in reports on this: [http://www.brayincandy.com/index.html](http://www.brayincandy.com/index.html) Both this blog and the book above are filled with incredibly bad and ungrammatical writing, and are full of incorrect word usage an bad spelling. That someone could feel so strongly about their position that they set it forth in blogs and a self-published book I can understand. But that the local GOP head did this in so crude and poorly-edited a fashion is downright scary. ---

It’s a reference to Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I’m not sure if he actually existed within the novel or was just an objectivist construct. Anyway, he, or someone under his name made a 40 page radio address on the virtues of selfishness at the end of the book. Going Galt means that you’re stopping production for socialist societies and moving your product to a less bureaucratic environment. ---

I get the distinct impression that the people who talk about going Galt assume that whatever they’re planning to offer is so spectacular, others will do all that stuff for them. ---

Col. Jessup would remind Mr. Galt that his gated community has walls, and those walls must be patrolled by men with guns. Paid by Mr Galt’s money. What typically happens is, however dim they may be, the men with guns eventually figure out that Mr Galt’s money is only his because they let him keep it. In the beginning, the Emperor controls the Praetorian Guard. Sooner or later, they control the Emperor. Guess they don’t teach much history in MBA programs. ---
