Lance, this is a big thread. How much of it have you read? These are not random people we’re bringing up. They are [ul] [li]Republican elected officials, with specific policies we can link to[/li][li]Republican elected officials, generally[/li][li]Republican candidates for office[/li][li]Former Republican candidates or elected officials[/li][li]Lobbyists for Republican causes[/li][li]Republican committee members[/li][li]Television or radio commentators[/li][/ul] And in the last case it’s still kind of iffy. But do you get what this list is? The Republican party. Not random Joe off the street. Not the dumbass with a blog that gets 3 hits. Not even the goddamned Freepers, which could supply such an endless running list of stupid ideas and things said you’d have to change this thread to “…of the minute” Do you get it? Republicans. Actual, honest to goodness representatives of the Party who are making honest to goodness fucking stupid decisions on behalf of the country. This is what so infuriates me about the Stupid Liberal idea of the Day thread. Half the posts just don’t get what the fuck their own thread is supposed to be about. If you want to say “both parties are bad” you’re going to have to come to the argument with evidence. And that evidence has to be of equal weight. ---

I wasn’t asking if he was severely autistic as an insult, I was asking because then I could understand why he doesn’t understand the concept of a generalization re: him explaining to me that there are exceptions to my broad statement as if I meant what I said as an absolute statement of some kind with no exceptions. Also, I’ve seen him make pedantic nitpicks like this before, either he doesn’t understand how human communication works because of some kind of medical issue, or he is a twat who gets his jollies by pretending superiority by picking at a scab of what people SAY instead of what normal people know is MEANT. ---

Tom Shaw says that he authored House File 138 to protect human life, whether “you’re a zygote, an infant, a teenager or an adult.” The bill defines a “person” as “an individual human being, without regard to age of development, from the moment of conception, when a zygote is formed, until natural death.” “Murder includes killing another person through any means that terminates the life of the other person including but not limited to the use of abortion-inducing drugs,” the measure states without making any exceptions for rape or incest. " And apparently no exceptions for self-defense. If this bill were to pass, I’d love nothing more than to start forcing these fuckers to arrest every person who shot and killed someone in self-defense for murder, so I could shove their asses down their own slippery slope. I think you’ve demonstrated quite well what level of discourse you’re at. Insults, refusal to consider other people’s opinions before dismissing them, more insults.
