That sounds like something a Democratic lawmaker would do as a stunt to protest the Citizen’s United outcome. Did someone find a principled Republican roaming in the Montana badlands? Better start watching the skies for portents. ---

I’m not terribly surprised, given his location. The Flathead Lake area is (IMHO) one of the most beautiful parts of the state; but in recent years it’s become the stomping ground\* for a witches’ brew of “patriots,” survivalists, anti-taxers, Posse Comitatus, neo-Nazis who got run out of Hayden Lake, and other assorted right-wing whackadoodles. A pity, from my POV, because I had been considering retirement there. But I have a feeling I wouldn’t be welcome. \*Figuratively, but some who have protested have been threatened with a more literal interpretation of the term.
