Gonna be kinda awkward for Pride Week. Maybe make it Prude Week.

So, he’s married? And they don’t ever put any extra spice in their yum-yum? He never gives the little man in the boat a tongue-lashing? Eats at the Y? Face down in Tenderness Junction?

Well, DUH. If she ever went down on him, he’d never want laws against sodomy.

Looks like an MP5 to me, which is an even stranger choice. You’d expect an M4 or 1911, or at least something that’s not closely associated with well-funded, often European, government paramilitary organizations.

> Q: Why do amazing miracles (people raised from the dead, blind eyes open, lame people walking) happen with great frequency in places like Africa, and not here in the USA? What can we do to encourage those things to happen here? Is America too far gone for miracles like this? --KEN
>
> A: Those people overseas didn’t go to Ivy League schools. Well, we’re so sophisticated, we think we’ve got everything figured out, we know about evolution, we know about Darwin, we know about all these things that says God isn’t real, we know about all this stuff. And if we’d be in many schools, the more advanced schools, we have been inundated with skepticism and secularism. Overseas they’re simple, humble. You tell them God loves them, and they say ‘ok, he loves me’. You say ‘God will do miracles’ and they say ‘okay, we believe him.’ And that’s what God’s looking for, that’s why they have miracles.

A prayer for Pat Robertson:

\*O Lord, we thank thee for the wisdom of Mr. Robertson’s words of truth. We know you called Mr. Robertson to be your servant when he answered your call to serve our country in the USMC during the Korean conflict. You showed your power when you sent him to the front lines of Roppongi where he gave his full measure and devotion as our nation’s finest liquor officer in Japan. And then you called him to attend Yale law school, and challenged him with the NY Bar, which you would not let him pass. Praise you O Lord!

And now you’ve let Pat speak from the heart when talks about humble Africans and miracles. O Lord, we thank you for the brotherhood that you bestowed between Pat and his brother Baptist Charles Taylor. And how Brother Taylor spread your Word through the power of the aiding and abetting in mass rape, sexual slavery, and a new, more contemporary re-telling of Pat’s favorite hymn: “Onward Christian Child Soldiers.”

And then Pat’s darkest day: to see his brother Taylor be persecuted and punished for his faith. Satan deceived many by twisting Taylor’s love for his people into 11 counts for war crimes. And even worse-- allowing Satan to snatch away all those gold and diamond mines that our brother Pat would have most certainly invested only for the benefit of the people of Liberia. Why our brother Robertson used his Operation Blessing planes to haul diamond-mining equipment to Robertson’s mines in Liberia. We know your will Lord, someday you will prevail and allow Liberia’s wealth to be used by your humble servant Pat to spread the glorious news of Jesus Christ!

Thank you Jesus for your servant Pat Robertson and his works–for they glorify our Father in Heaven!

Amen.\*

Boehner rejects Obama’s budget proposals out of hand even though Obama went against his base and offered social security cuts.

> The President knows offering a carrot to Republicans in the hopes of a so-called grand bargain is an exercise in futility, but with the American people watching, he is shining a spotlight on Republican intransigence and allegiance to the rich. By offering an olive branch in the form of chained-CPI for Social Security, Republicans can no longer say the President is afraid of his base, or unwilling to meet Republicans half way to solve the nation’s phony deficit crisis, and their immediate rejection to compromise further portrays them as the real problem in Washington. Social Security and Medicare are extremely popular programs, and Republican insistence that they be eviscerated to give more tax cuts to corporations and the rich far exceed the President’s offer to change the COLA methodology. It is also worth noting, again, that the Center for America Progress, no conservative belief tank, recommend chained-CPI as a revenue raising long term fix for Social Security, but with Republicans bound and determined to reject any proposal that fails to end Social Security and Medicare in their entirety, and rejection of any new revenue to create jobs and repair the decrepit infrastructure, or replace the job-killing sequestration cuts, it is doubtful there will be a grand bargain, or any bargain, between the President and Republicans. Besides, the President’s budget proposal is only symbolic because in America, Congress makes the budget and as long as Republicans run this country, any budget that does not kill jobs, kill safety nets, and end public education, is doomed to fail regardless who proposes it.

Obviously, the president’s budget proposal is strictly symbolic, but I think he will score political points over the deficit hawks.

Au contraire - Republicans can and will say whatever the hell they want. Obama offered them a dumptruck full of carrots on PPACA and they’re still claiming he refused to compromise. Their base are not overly concerned with the truth.

The Republican position is defined as being 100 yards to the right of whatever Obama is willing to agree to. His making concessions just means they have to move the goal posts again. If Obama agreed to drown the government in a bath tub, they would argue that the bath tub was too big.

**Rick Perry: Blame the Hispanics for Potential Aryan Brotherhood Murders in Texas . . .**

[http://thecontributor.com/gov-perry-makes-disgusting-comment-about-murder-texas-da](http://thecontributor.com/gov-perry-makes-disgusting-comment-about-murder-texas-da)

You may have read about the murders of law enforcement officials in one county in Texas and how it seems likely they were done by members of the Aryan Brotherhood gang. The primary suspect in one of the murders is Evan Spencer Ebel, a known member of the gang.

But Ricky Perry had this to say:

> [@](#):
>
> We know the drug cartels are very, very active in our country now. It goes back … to the whole issue of border security and the failure of the federal government to put the men and women, whether they are military or whether they’re border patrol or whether working with the local law enforcement, expend the dollars necessary to secure the border with Mexico…That’s of great concern. I would suggest to you, it is really at the heart of this issue. You secure the border, then it makes it harder for these individuals to have access into this country as well as it addresses this whole issue that’s hanging out on immigration.

Appealing to his Aryan Brotherhood base, I suppose.
