[Louie Gohmert sounds the alarm](http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/louie-gohmert-islamic-terrorists-training-to-act-like) about the al-Quesadilla menace:

> Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), one of the most conservative members of the House, said on Wednesday that Islamic terrorists were training members to pretend to be Latino in order to infiltrate the United States.
>
> “We know Al Qaeda has camps over with the drug cartels on the other side of the Mexican border,” he said in an appearance on C-SPAN, according to the Huffington Post. “We know that people that are now being trained to come in and act like Hispanic [sic] when they are radical Islamists. We know these things are happening. It is just insane not to protect ourselves, to make sure that people come in as most people do … They want the freedoms we have.”…

Mark Sanford’s [statement](http://politicalwire.com/archives/2013/04/17/sanford_explains_trespassing_charges.html) about the charges against him for trespassing on his ex-wife’s property:

> [@](#):
>
> “It’s an unfortunate reality that divorced couples sometimes have disagreements that spill over into family court. I did indeed watch the second half of the Super Bowl at the beach house with our 14 year old son because as a father I didn’t think he should watch it alone. Given she was out of town I tried to reach her beforehand to tell her of the situation that had arisen, and met her at the back steps under the light of my cell phone when she returned and told her what had happened.”
>
> “There is always another side to every story, and while I am particularly curious how records that were sealed to avoid the boys dealing with embarrassment are now somehow exposed less than three weeks before this election, I agree with Jenny that the media is no place to debate what is ultimately a family court matter, and out of respect for Jenny and the boys, I’m not going to have any further comment at this time.”

I can just picture the scene – Mark, worried that his ex might show up at any moment, trying to sneak out in the dark guided by the light of his cell phone, only to find himself busted…

The Oklahoma House Majority Leader Dennis Johnson has a harmless laugh at the expense of an admittedly small Oklahoma constituency:

[quote]

In defending the bill, Rep. Dennis Johnson (R-Duncan), who is a small business owner himself, asserted that service will always win over price.

“[Customers] might try to Jew me down on the price,” Johnson added. “That’s fine. You know what? That’s free market as well.”

After it was pointed out to him that the phrase “to Jew down” might be considered offensive by, say, Jewish people, Johnson half-heartedly apologized.

“I apologize to the Jews,” he said, to laughter from his colleagues in the House. “They’re good small business men as well.”

The stereotype, and an unfair one I might add, is that Republicans are all insensitive, sexist, racist, and homophobic.

You’d think the Republican National leadership would address this, just for the sake of their party being electable, by putting out a notice- if you say offensive things about women, gays, and racial minorities, you can no longer count on national GOP support.

But no, not a peep. And every week, a half dozen elected Republicans say stuff that would have been considered retarded in the 1950’s.

Oh, come on, cut him some slack.

That image is actually reasonably unoffensive and somewhat amusing. AND looks like it was created by someone who has actually comprehended we’re in the 21st century, rather than a person who’d be more comfortable faxing their joke to everyone.

It’s a masterpiece of brilliant wit compared to their usual fare.

Besides, are they actually sure that’s two different guys there? Have they ever been seen together? Because I can’t tell the difference between them in side-by-side photos.

Just in case anyone had a smidge of doubt, Snopes and Factcheck debunk the ammo rumor.

Factcheck went further than they usually do by calling it Bullet Baloney.

Snopes said DHS had ordered 174,000 bullets, but then explained the intended uses for that relatively small number which are far from a “takeover”.

Really, 174,000 bullets in the back of the head executions wouldn’t come _close_ to the number of Americans that need killin’! This is only round one.
