James Inhofe, who voted against federal aid for New Jersey residents who lost their homes to Hurricane Sandy, would like it to be known that [his request for federal aid for Oklahoma residents who lost their homes to yesterday’s supertornado](http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/05/21/2039991/coburn-inhofe-oklahoma-disaster-relief/) is _completely_ different. Tom Coburn, on the other hand, is remaining idealogically pure - [and insisting that the thousands of his constituents who are now homeless not get a penny in federal aid until we defund Obamacare.](http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/05/21/2039981/oklahoma-senator-wont-support-tornado-relief-without-budget-cuts/) ---

In fairness, Coburn is demanding offsetting cuts _somewhere_ in the budget, not necessarily Obamacare. ---

I still can’t figure out what the gays did that prompted God to wreak his vengeance upon Oklahoma City, but I’m sure a preacher will be along shortly to 'splain it to me. ---

He let his Chosen People be abused by various countries and empires for most of the last 3500 years, and now he seems to be pointing a disproportionate amount of divine punishment at the very best Americans. Is it his idea of tough love? ---

Some of those guys it was like the first time they’d ever read a line of it. ---
