Now that Filner has agreed to get his Joker face out of the San Diego mayor’s office, the coast should be clear for the GOP to take the job back. Their top contender would seem to be former City Council member Bob DeMaio, who has been running for Congress. Except he has [a little habit of his own](http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/potential_successor_openly_masturbating_AntiSiplAN5PgeY03tKicO)that’s come to light. True, excusing himself from Council meetings to go polish the porpoise in the men’s room has no victims, really, but it’s still something one really ought not to do, especially if one is a public official, wouldn’t you think? ---

My understanding is that there is no lack of effort, but that the task is so daunting. There is almost no such definable thing as “cancer”. Not like cholera, say, which you can define and treat, or any other the other diseases. Before i’ll vote for an asshole like Huckabee, I need a genuine, one hundred percent no bullshit miracle. ---
