The story is a bit misleading. It was “GOP-led” in the sense that the heads of the Florida DOS and DOJ are Republican appointees, but these were wholly separate investigations initiated because of actual bogus registrations. The investigation into the Democratic-leaning organization was closed because [they couldn’t find the primary witness](http://miamiherald.typepad.com/files/newmajority.pdf). It appears the fake registrations were pranks by registrants rather than the registering agency, though. You can read about the investigation of the Republican organization [here](http://miamiherald.typepad.com/files/strategicalliedconsulting.pdf)). They were actual law enforcement investigations, not a general policy-driven attempt to find fraud.

Bill Kristol is urging Congress to vote yes on the authorization to use military force against Syria. He says [the vote is easy and close to risk-free](http://thinkprogress.org/security/2013/09/06/2581841/kristol-iran-syria/), and he also thinks Congress should move soon after to authorize the use of force against Iran’s nuclear weapons program. (I know we all think that’s what Iran is working on, but has anyone actually come up with solid evidence for it?)

I like that he specifies the vote is almost risk-free. We know any action wouldn’t be.

That would be the neocon, Bill “Always Wrong About Everything” Kristol?

If anyone was curious, [this is what a Muslim foot bath actually looks like](http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2007/08/07/us/07muslim-600.jpg), on the left obviously. TBH it looks like they could just install pre-existing mop sink designs, except not use them for mops, since that’s probably unsanitary to some extent.

I just Googled it and went with what looked accurate. The results are slammed with either people poking fun at the Tennessee legislature or people raising the alarm about creeping Sharia. If anyone reading the thread has significant experience with foot baths that look or function differently feel free to correct me.

The more telling thing about the Tennessee tempest is that most of the righteously furious had probably never seen a mop sink before.

Oh nooooo, he doesn’t want to be partisan about it at all. Nope, not him.

And P.S. Bush had a bigger dick, and when he waved it, you’d better watch out, even all the way over there in them thar Ayrab states. Cuz you know, it could reach.

And, again, I believe that it’s, in some ways, up to us — if we repent, if we cry out to God, we have no idea what the Lord God will do for us in 2016.”

At least she understand the GOP needs to repent; but she is probably thinking of the wrong sins.

I really can’t think of anything snarky to say about[this…](http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2013/09/09/20402828-far-right-lawmakers-freelance-in-egypt?lite)

> [@](#):
>
> As Max Fisher reported, Bachmann, Gohmert, and Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) – arguably the three most ridiculous lawmakers in Congress – traveled to Cairo, met directly with the leader of the Egyptian coup, and then filmed a video praising both the uprising and the violent crackdown on pro-Morsi demonstrators that followed.
>
> This is more than just a random stunt from strange politicians. The official position of the United States was that the post-overthrow violence was needlessly brutal and shocking, so much so that aid to Egypt may well be suspended. And yet, Bachmann, Gohmert, and King traveled to Cairo to deliver a conflicting message – apparently because they felt like it.

But could you imagine for a moment the hell that would be unleashed if Democratic lawmakers did this during a Republican administration?
