That’s hilarious and horrifying at the same time. What’s next, making it mandatory for women to turn in their used menses paraphernalia for inspection? If someone came up with that it’d be one thing, just another random crazy-ass Republican. But that passed both the HOUSE AND THE SENATE! Mass crazyass. Is the Gov as crackpot insane too? Any chance he’d sign the bill? ---

The current governor is Gary Herbert; he was the Lieutenant Governor and took over for John Huntsman in August when the latter was shipped off to China as our new ambassador. He seems to be fairly moderate as Republicans go. According to Wikipedia, he supported Salt Lake City’s right to pass an ordinance prohibiting discrimination against gays and lesbians, which the legislature threatened to block - but generally opposes anti-discrimination legislation. He dropped out of college, which might make him unique among current governors. ---
