Because I have worked in jobs that offered insurance, but it was so expensive that it would have absorbed my entire salary (the job was entry level worker at Target, 30 hours a week, which is all they offered to keep me part time, etc. etc.) I could not afford insurance, though I needed it, I can’t think of a Republican or an insurer that would have given a rat’s ass if I had died for lack of medical care. ---

Republican men (or at least the fruitcakes leading the party these days) still believe women are not capable of independent living in society. They can’t make “responsible” decisions without direction from men. It’s pretty much an issue of ownership. Women need to be owned by men, for their own good, of course. ---

I stumbled across this while looking for something else: [http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/justice-jeanine/index.html](http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/justice-jeanine/index.html) A Fox News bimbette I’ve never seen before, but apparently she has her own hour-long weekend show. Her opening monologue this week, which you can play at the link, is about how Obama is a paper tiger, and it’s hilarious. She berates Obama for calling Putin and saying that invading Ukraine would threaten Russia’s standing in the international community, and asks (not quoted exactly), “Why is he so worried about Russia’s standing? What about OUR standing?” Seriously, she seems to think that Obama’s call was out of concern for Putin. She then asks, without a trace of irony, “Who made you the world’s cop?” A minute later, she repeats the factoid about our military being reduced to pre-WWII levels, and asks, “Does that mean we’ll be flying prop planes? Then for sure we won’t be able to protect our troops… like _ **Benghazi** _?” I am not making this up. I always wondered what it would look like if Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin had a child. ---
