Meet [Molotov Mitchell](http://www.newsobserver.com/2014/02/27/3659247/anti-gay-filmmaker-jason-molotov.html), North Carolina’s new candidate for the District 16 seat in the NC Senate. Yes, his name is Molotov (he says in [another interview I read](http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/molotov-mitchells-plan-to-move-the-state-senate-farther-rightby-aaron-lake-smith/Content?oid=3953475) that he legally changed his name to that). Highlights: Birther, producer of far-right movies (his production company is called Illuminati Pictures), host of a WorldNetDaily show which “could best be described as a more conservative, deep Internet Glenn Beck.” I’d like to think that this is not going to go over well in liberal Raleigh, but I don’t even try to guess anymore what sort of craziness is going to happen next down here. ---
