Maybe we should have a plan where we require all Americans to raise chickens in order to pay for health care. Or maybe —through increased taxes —the government could raise chickens and if we needed healthcare we would be able to get these government chickens free as part of some sort of a… Single-Layer System. ---

There need to be different denominations of chickens. Isn’t a good layer worth more than a roaster? Isn’t a KFC chicken leg worth more than one from Popeye’s? ---

Hmmm. The average cost of a common procedure, an appendectomy, is [$15850](http://www.healthcarefees.com/inpatientSurgery/appendectomy.php). The low end cost of a live chick is [$.20](http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_does_a_chicken_cost). So, I would need 3170 chicks just to pay for that procedure and the 2 day hospital stay… I am going to need a bigger chicken coop. ---
