Not doing anything means they aren’t doing any _harm_, which probably disqualifies that bill for SRIOTD purposes. Anyway, that bill allows them to claim the moral high ground among the really stupid portion of the electorate by claiming they were willing to compromise. ---

I _almost_ feel bad picking on Todd Akin again, but he brings it on himself. Says he was misinterpreted by the media, just like another misunderstood politician with noble intent…Sen. I remember a decade ago, everything the administration did was so ridiculous, after a while we just got weary of it. “Outrage fatigue”. But these Rs and TBs, they feed on it. They never seem to get tired if being angry, it just makes them angrier. They are like piquophiles or something. ---
