Yeah, Uber is such a great company. Like charging up to eight times as much as their base rate when there are emergency situations like storms. ---

Gavin Ellzey, the vice chairman of the Kansas Republican 3rd Congressional District Committee, advised on Twitter in early July that “offending Muslims is the duty of any civilized person.” Ellzey added, “Especially with a .45.” Read more here: [http://www.kansascity.com/news/government-politics/article1160420.html#storylink=cpy](http://www.kansascity.com/news/government-politics/article1160420.html#storylink=cpy) Later he said he “wasn’t trying to offend anybody”. Well, it’s unlikely he offended anybody he knows personally, I’ll give him that. The GOP disavowed the comments. More or less. They didn’t actually pressure him to resign his post, or anything. ---
