Is there anything in your constitution that prohibits a person who happens to be dead from running for the presidency? I realize that if a president dies in office, the VP slips into the president’s job, but that’s quite different from being elected while already dead.

> Until Bob Dole shuffles off this mortal coil, no Presidential candidate should be accused of being too old. In today’s world, anyone under 80 is perfectly fine to run for President if they are otherwise healthy.

I propose that if a candidate is over 65, he or she must have a non-idiotic vice-president.
I call it the McCain Rule.

I propose that a candidate who is under, over, or at sixty five cannot nominate Sarah Palin unless he can prove an unbroken family history of nobody dying, ever.

I propose that if a candidate is a Republican, he (or she) is not permitted to win the Presidency.

Waitaminute, that’s not a proposal; it’s my decree! I remember it, from 1972!

Welp, better late than never, I guess.

Yeah that’s what I meant. I do hope that Randy mentioned his concerns to his dad two years ago. Wouldn’t want to be hypocritical.

You should call it the George H. W Bush rule. He has priority. And he was actually elected president.

Here’s a cute one.

I actually had something like this happen in 2004. Got a robocall about gays (I think that was the year Michigan passed the gay marriage ban).

The call urged a no vote but was very left-handed about it and talked about “inclusion” as a “Democrat value”. Everybody here knows that an actual call from the Democratic party would have used the word I just did: Democratic.

They love how it has “rat” on the end there. Turn it into an adjective by adding “-ic” and you lose that “rat” impact.

But anyway, didja know “Islam is creeping into our government and a shadow government has been established by our current government and now they are a leader within.” ? Sneaky bastards are working the back channels: “Obama’s top speech writer and Sasha and Malia’s babysitter are both Islamic fundamentalists that are wielding secret power.” Well, if Nancy Reagan’s astrologer could run the government, why not?

“America, wake up and smell the hummus,” Saleem warned.
