He was. The Eon films were not the first adaptations of Bond novels. They were preceded by [two others:](http://www.007james.com/articles/who_played_james_bond.php) CBS’ made-for-TV _Casino Royale_, and a South African radio production of _Moonraker_. ---

Scalise is claiming he didn’t know at the time that an organization run by David Duke and calling itself the “European-American Unity and Rights Organization” was a hate group. Even Erick Erickson is calling bullshit on Scalise’s claim of ignorance. ---

I mean it’s entirely possible he isn’t the kind of person that associates with white supremists. He could have been there to tell them they are horrible people… oh nm his excuse is I didn’t know David Duke’s group was a hate group… I’m sure the GOP will use him as an example they don’t tollerate racists in their ranks. I expect GOP calls for his resignation any day now. ---

The problem once again is that the RWers cannot hold the concept of racism in their heads for more than about four minutes beyond the time that you finish trying to explain it to them. It is just like with rape, the idea hurts their heads. This is the only possible reason that a large organization like the Republican party and their ParasiTeas struggle so with this, not even malicious intent could be this ham-handed. ---
