Apparently it was a bad idea for Fox News to invent “no-go” areas of Paris. Wow, such a blatant changing of reality. I shouldn’t be surprised but this seems like it hasn’t been done before, and is much different from simply quoting a paragraph out of context (since we’re all used to that and know that what we read isn’t the whole truth). They seem to want to build Obama up into a strawman by using whatever technology they have at their disposal. Did they also edit out the sick burn by Obama about winning both his campaigns? ---

It was possible to edit a “live stream” because the full text of the speech was released some hours before Obama gave it. When I heard he was doing this, I wondered why, since it would obviously enable the Republican responses (I think there were at least four of them — the official Ernst one, one in Spanish, and one each from from Ted Cruz and Rand Paul) to attack specific points he made. But I didn’t anticipate something like this. “No matter how cynical you get, you can’t keep up.” ---

Well, I missed the others, but Ernst appeared neither to have read nor watched the speech she was supposed to be rebutting. ---

Sick burn my ass. The Democrats are at their lowest ebb since the 1920s. His talent as a campaigner is not in doubt. The effects of his performance in office have been felt by hundreds of currently jobless Democrats. The unemployment rate for Democratic professional politicians has become a national crisis which I’m sure he’ll try to fix in his current budget.
