I predict Benji will spit in the soup (apologies to Kaiser Bill) and move on. No big deal. When foreign leaders do speak to Congress (_a la_ Churchill) is it normally with an invite from the president or are there historical instances of a purely Congressional invite? ---

Bibi is no Churchill, but then again, neither was Churchill. For one thing, Bibi doesn’t drink enough, and he entirely lacks the eloquent invective of Churchill. That’s probably because he’s Jewish, and Jews hate to argue. ---

Congress doing something perfectly within its constitutional purview= traitorous. The President changing or refusing to enforce law he doesn’t like because Congress won’t make the changes he wants= bold. Yogosouth, the stupid liberal thread is waiting for you. ---

The Speaker throwing in his lot with a foreign leader, and trying to affect foreign policy-which is not within Congress’s congressional authority-yeah, I can see how some might use the T word there. Especially if he wants that foreign leader to attack the leader of his own country. I wonder what goes through McCain’s mind when he hears about Palin’s latest word-vomits. Does he feel shame? Has he psychologically distanced himself from his Frankenstein’s monster somehow, to be able to sleep at night in his twilight years? Or maybe he just takes a drink. ---
