I hope in the upcoming Republican primaries each candidate will be pinned down on whether they favor restricting access to porn on the internet.
If they say no, the RW evangelicals will flip out. If they say yes they will be on record telling Americans that they favor restricting their access to porn.

Lose/lose.

They could always take the Jesus Weasel: “Render unto Shawna Lenee what is Shawna Lenee’s, and render unto God what is God’s!” (Which one you cum for is up to you.)

**Stupid Derplahoman Idea of the Day**. You can just tell the next legislative session in Oklahoma City is warming up. Reprsentative Josh Cockroft has introduced HRJ 1006 that will change State Supreme Court justices from selection by a committee and appointment by the Gov. to a system of state wide election.

Key points he brought up are that the judges must be accountable to the electorate (we see how well the will of the majority works nationwide) and the Judicial branch was never intended to be a co-equal branch nor independent just like the founding fathers designed it.

Great - we don’t have enough politics, campaigning, PACs, pandering to donors already. Also, poor Josh can’t read either the Oklahoma constitution - Article 4; the US constitution; and he certainly has never read the Federalist Papers #78 by Hamilton.

If he gets his way and the Justices are elected - Atty. Gen. Scott Pruitt will finally win some cases at the state level before being smacked down at the US Supreme Court.

Pity Oklahoma, this clown ran unopposed last election.

I think it’s safe to assume that Rush knows where he can get several hundred calories of ice creme bliss and not get out of his car. And he knows where to find a DQ with a driveup because it’s worth it to drive a few extra miles so you don’t have to walk.

Senator Inhofe and his brute squad.

[http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/01/22/3614235/seriously-we-are-all-doomed/](http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/01/22/3614235/seriously-we-are-all-doomed/)

> [@](#):
>
> Wednesday was a big day for Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK). In the morning, he officially took the gavel as chairman of the Senate’s Environment Committee. In the afternoon, he took the Senate floor for a long speech about how human-caused climate change is fake.
>
> Here’s the video:
>
> In sum, the speech has everything. References to the oft-debunked “ClimateGate” stolen e-mail “scandal”, a poster of a Time Magazine cover from 1974 claiming an ice age is coming, and multiple references to former Vice President Al Gore. It has a mention of a survey of weather-casters who think global warming is caused by natural variation, but does not mention that weather-casters are not climate scientists. It even includes the claim that the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change “started” the whole idea that climate change is happening, even though the idea was conceived about 200 years ago.
>
> The video above actually begins a couple minutes in to Inhofe’s speech, with a quote from Richard Lindzen, a former MIT professor and one of the most-cited voices of scientists who think global warming is fake. Lindzen, an atmospheric physicist, has often been characterized as having contrarian scientific opinions. He has also said that the evidence that cigarettes cause lung cancer is not “so strong that one should rule that any questions were out of order.”

> [@](#):
>
> Don’t expect this speech to be the end of climate denial in the Senate. Indeed, Inhofe ended his speech by promising more of it, citing his new position as head of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
>
> “Now I’m back in that position so we’ll have a chance to have hearings, and Mr. President, we’re going to have hearings with prominent scientists to come in and talk about this thing,” he said. “We’ll be there to be the truth-squad.”

“Brute Squad” you mean senator. You know, when you see how republicans assigned the chairmanships and that they also gave Ted Cruz control over NASA it is really a stretch to still believe that there is sanity in the republican party.

It’s not insanity at all as long as you keep in mind that the secondary goal of the GOP, right behind delivering as much of the nation’s economy as possible to their .01% supporters, is fucking with liberals’ minds. It should be obvious by now that there’s a whole lot of reflexive “the liberals will HATE this!” glee behind most of their moves.

I have this vision: Islamic extremist suicide bomber enters the office (with fuses lit, which lends a Wile E. Coyote vibe to the scenario) and is stopped by a staffer who asks him to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. “Aw, nuts…” says the bomber, and beats a hasty retreat.
