I get the impression that being untethered from Congress has allowed Ron Paul to enable his inner white supremacist (demonstrated by those [newsletters](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul_newsletters), but which seemed to be in hiding for decades afterwards) to bloom.

Ron Paul is just untethered, period, but he is still a Congressman.

There is a really, really good barbecue joint on US 51 in south Memphis that is less than two and a half miles from the Mississippi state line. Not that Mississippi is necessarily better than Tennessee.

I gotta give props to one of the people who voted against the bill, tho. Aye, he’s a Republican, too. But he had a solid reason for the way he voted, he was able to state it succinctly and it makes sense because it’s based on facts and personal experience, none of which can be said for anything any of the other Republicans said that was quoted in that article.

We had a pretty good meal at a place by the river in Early, but it was just a pause on the way to GTHOT. The place in Memphis specialized in pork (watched them roll a cart stacked with pink flesh to the cooker, hope it was the _short_ pig), which is not what they burn in Texas. Though, maybe they ought to, if they are parnoid about them muzlems.

Sir? I’m going to have to ask you to step outside. Everyone knows the One True Barbecue can only be found in Down East North Carolina. Everything else makes Baby Jesus cry.

Except for that heresy they do in South Carolina. Every time someone puts mustard on pork and calls it barbecue, God kills a kitten. I think it’s in Leviticus somewhere.

You want heresy? The sauce in Alabama is made from … mayonnaise.
