Well, to be fair, international law is not much of a peg on which to hang one’s hopes. It doesn’t seem to prevent nations from committing wars of aggression (Russia-\>Afghanistan, Russia-\>Ukraine, Iraq-\>Kuwait, US-\>Iraq). International laws’ only power, from what I’ve seen, is to make nations honor the commitments they are already disposed to honor. ---

We just feel it as certainty with every bit of intuition and universal attunement we have. ---

The rest of that half is Muslim Communist, as if blacks can’t be either. Oh, and Republicans are the real anti-racists, at least up to 1964, but been there, done that, right? ---

The only way I can make any sense of that link is that he believes anyone who is a Muslim is an Arab. Just amazing. ---

That’s 0.0626 as a fraction. I didn’t realize they could measure “blackness” to that high a precision. Since 1/16 is 0.0625, or 6.25%, I’d be tempted to say that he thinks that Obama maybe had one black great-grandparent and all the rest of them white, or something. But that would mean that the RNC member didn’t understand fractions, and it couldn’t possibly be _that_. ---

I swear to God, Republicans have officially gone over the edge. The casual racism, the treasonous note to Iran, the banning of terms like "Climate Change"and the constant election of complete idiots to positions of high power is too much. I don’t care anymore that there are a few sane ones left. The party no longer has any collective intelligence. Fuck them all. ---

I suppose when a party panders for votes to an ignorant and hateful base, that base eventually becomes the party. Hopefully the lesson has been learned, but it may take a long time for the party, and the country, to recover. Then again, the party may never recover, since it’s been largely replaced by the cancer.
