Assuming the person you’re referring to isn’t a bridge-dweller or just doing this for teh lollzorz, calling them names and telling them they’re a horrible person is just reinforcing their ideas that anyone inclining even incrementally to the left of Mussolini is part of what’s wrong with America today, impurifying the nation’s precious bodily essences and viciously attacking everyone who disagrees with them. ---

Over the past year or two, people have tried every sort of tactic with Derek. His response to everything from patience to statistics to peer-reviewed literature to personal experiences has been to double down on his epithet-filled self-pity hatred rage. You can’t blame posters for losing patience with him, and you extra super can’t blame other people for his assholery. He owns that. ---

If they’re a regular who won’t be told then that’s an entirely different kettle of fish to someone new who hasn’t realised that claiming Der Fuhrer did nothing wrong or jet fuel can’t melt steel beams lololol isn’t going to get them the reaction they hope here. I mean, talking about wanting to feed people though jet engines is so extreme it sounds like something Stan Smith’s even more conservative and very racist grandfather would say. Dude’s theory seems to be that because he’s really short, people tell him he should date fat chicks, since no attractive woman would want a short guy. NOW he’s afraid they’ll start telling him that if he can’t get an attractive woman to go out with him, he should date a trans chick instead. NOT that he’ll be forced to date a transwoman. But that someone will suggest it. Yeah, that’s his logic. (Apparently, if someone suggests you date someone, it’s a direct order you must follow, or something) My own personal theory is that he’s got a ton of trans-porn (the so-called “Chicks With Dicks”\* genre) on his computer. \*Note: that’s the term for it in the industry, apparently. There was a comedian a while back–sorry, I cannot remember who; perhaps it was Ron White (at least this sounds like something he would say)–who said, "Why would you be so offended if a gay guy compliments you? It’s not like you _have_ to have sex with him? I can see it now…you’re on your way home and a gay guy says you look rather nice, then you have to call your wife…“Honey, I’m going to be home late. Funny story.
