My cite is working in newsrooms where I was the only male, or vastly outnumbered by women. At one media outlet I worked for, there were 84 people in my department and 18 of them were male. The majority of the PR people (and like it or not, that’s part of the media now) I’ve dealt with are female. Now admittedly I don’t do much with TV or radio, which does have more men in it that women, but in print/online media - in my experience across multiple mastheads in multiple locations - there are definitely more women than men. ---

Not to mention the whole “earn it” is authoritarian nonsense. In a market economy, you “earn” wealth by doing what other people want. In other words, the only way to obtain the material requirements of survival is to subordinate yourself to the will of others. That’s a slave system. ---
