You know, I can almost see this:

Well, there are tourists who go into the mountains and there are tourists who stop at the signs to have their pictures taken then go back to the hotel to buy souvenirs. I expect the mountaineers are smarter about risk, but they’re also the ones engaging in risky activities.

Or maybe my anecdotal experiences mean nothing at all, and are completely at odds with the overall picture.
