Please, you know why Presidents issue midnight executive orders. It’s to get policies done that they couldn’t get done when voters could have done something about it. Please show me the section of the Constitution that prevents the incoming President from just erasing the previous President’s executive orders? ---

Trump sent Sean Spicer out to deliver a performance that would embarrass Baghdad Bob, insisting that he did too have eleventy zillion people in the audience for the inauguration and anybody who says different because of some lousy pictures is a big fat doodoohead. ---

Trump’s going to need a better press secretary. Spicer doesn’t seem to have what it takes to look straight into the cameras and lie. Maybe he’ll get better with practice. ---

He’s been with the Trump Bunch for a while. You’d think he’d be used to it by now. Perhaps. He certainly tended to the fierce bluster, and I think Americans are more easily duped by the smooth double-mouthed patter of KellyAnne. She tells blazing lies with the calm joy of someone explaining to a child why there is no such thing as gravity, and why in is really out. There is a solid core of Trump psychosis, that will believe that all those photos of people are all made up, so on and so forth. But some are more sane than others, and the steady drip-drip of obvious bullshit will take its toll. And no, he won’t get voted out nearly soon enough. But the worse things get, the more Congresscritters get nervous, glancing at the calendar and trying to figure out when is it too late to bail. Just read about how Trump blew off an expected luncheon with the Supremes, and instead summoned Chief Justice Roberts to the Throne Room. Luckily, Roberts is a cheerfully humble sort of fellow, who wears his dignity lightly. Mmm, yes, smart move there, Slick. ---
