“third world countries”
The whole point of the first, second, and third world country nomenclature was a dig at the USSR and the shithole countries. The first world was us (yaaay!) the second world was communism (booo!) and the third world was everyone else (who gives a shit?) It’s been the “developed” and “developing” countries for decades now, but we still call them by these discriminatory Cold-War era names.
By far the dumbest political meme is “Creating Jobs”. Every candidate in the US, left or right, takes credit for ever job that is added during their watch. They blame their opponents for every job that is lost on their watch. They run on campaigns based on promising more jobs will be created under their leadership.
Just govern effectively. That’s your job. Creating jobs is the job of the private sector.
‘It creates jobs.’’ No, it just moves money to a political favored industry. Some other industry is starved for money and cuts back.
